Gallery in the Park

Gallery in the Park is an art gallery and sculpture garden which has made Altona a destination for tourists and art enthusiasts alike. The indoor gallery is housed in what used to be the Schwartz House built in 1902, it typically displays featured artists on the main floor and local artists on the 2nd floor. The sculpture garden guides visitors through an appreciation of art and culture while enjoying the tranquility of the water feature and the park-like surroundings.

Project: New Expansion

The Ebenezer Home board is planning a major expansion after purchasing additional land along 10th street in Altona. The new structure will be a three or four storey building that could have as many as 120 units ranging from the smaller studio size to 900 square feet, one bedroom suitable for both single and couples as well as some larger life lease units.

Access Field

Project: New Baseball Diamond

The Field of Dreams Committee is fundraising for a new $750,000 baseball diamond to be built North of Centennial Park called Access Field. The facility will be a senior diamond which will allow Altona Minor Baseball and the Altona Bisons the chance to host provincial and regional tournaments in older age categories such as Bantam, Midget, Junior and Senior.
